While SteelSeries do have a lot of purpose-built mice, if you’re looking for the one that does everything, and does everything well, you’ll be right at home with the Rival 600. It’s a great all-round mouse that comes with a reasonable price and all the nice things you could ask for.
To begin with, the shape is very comfortable. The mouse is divided in “panels”, with RGB lights between them, which does give you a comfortable palm or claw grip, but won’t cause too much sweating. The buttons are all easily reachable, and the scroll wheel is really nice, too.
The sensor inside is SteelSeries’ TrueMove3Plus Dual Optical Sensor, with 1 to 1 tracking and up to 12,000 CPI. It also has 0.5mm lift-off distance, which is impressive, and it’s also customizable (up to 2mm). Tracking is accurate and there are absolutely no issues.
The weight, starts at 96 grams. We say starts, because you have adjustable weights that you can put in different positions for a total of 256 center of gravity positions, and a maximum weight of 129 grams. This makes the mouse extremely customizable, and you can definitely get it just right for you.
Last but not least, the buttons are all easily reachable, and customizable, so you can set up custom commands. Overall, this is the best gaming mouse by SteelSeries.
2. SteelSeries Sensei Ten
Years ago, SteelSeries had the Sensei as their flagship mouse. It was simple, it worked really well, and it came in a few configurations. Fast forward to today, and we’ve got the Sensei Ten, which is a resurrection of the Sensei that eSports gamers used to love.

Inside, you get a TrueMove Pro sensor with up to 18,000 CPI and 1 to 1 tracking made in collaboration with PixArt. It’s really great, and it also comes with tilt tracking to prevent sudden tracking in the wrong direction.
What’s also great is that you’re looking at a mouse with a total weight of 92 grams. Not only is it great for small hands in terms of shape, but it’s also really lightweight, too. Quick flick shots won’t be an issue with it, especially combined with accurate tracking.
Last but not least, you do get two side buttons on each side, as well as a DPI adjust button on the top, and all of them are programmable. Overall, an excellent lightweight mouse for users with small hands.
3. SteelSeries Rival 650
While most of SteelSeries’ mice are wired, they do have a great wireless pick as well – the Rival 650. Yes, it is pricey, but it’s also one of the best wireless mice you can get today. The shape is right hand oriented, and similar to other mice they have, such as the Rival 600, with panels and RGB lights between them. It’s comfortable for various grip styles, and you won’t have any sweating issues.
The sensor inside is a TrueMove3+ optical sensor with a maximum of 12,000 CPI, true 1 to 1 tracking, and customizable lift-off distance. However, it’s the wireless technology that’s the main selling point – Quantum Wireless is on par with wired mice from SteelSeries, and there’s no latency whatsoever. You’re also looking at 10 hours of battery with 15 minutes of charging, and overall over 24 hours of battery life.
The weight is customizable, from 121 to 153 grams, using the weight distribution center that has 256 possible configurations. The SteelSeries Rival 3 is one of the best value to performance gaming mouse SteelSeries has to offer. It’s a budget mouse that’s pretty lightweight and comes in at a more than reasonable price, without cutting too many corners if any.
The sensor inside is a TrueMove Core optical sensor, and it goes up to 8,500 CPI which provides true 1 to 1 tracking. Add to this an overall weight of 77 grams, and a very compact and comfortable shape, and you’re looking at an excellent budget gaming mouse.
On the outside, you have an ergonomically designed right-handed shape with two side buttons on the left, and a DPI adjustment button on the top. The right has a rubberized grip to make things even more comfortable. There are also 3 zones of RGB lighting, which is also a nice addition.

To begin with, you’re looking at a right handed mouse with comfortable rubber side grips which is great for all types of grip. You do get RGB lights on the logo as well, which is a nice addition. To add to this, you’re looking at a TrueMove3 sensor that goes up to 12,000 CPI and comes with 1 to 1 tracking. It’s a great pick for the money.
The weight is pretty good at 88.3 grams, and you’ll be able to flick the mouse around with ease. To add to this, you do have two customizable side buttons, and one on the top, so you can set things up just right for you. Oh, did we mention the left and right buttons are split trigger? They’ll last you a good while and feel really nice. A great budget pick.
6. SteelSeries Rival 500 MMO/MOBA
There’s no denying that MMO and MOBA players always seem to ask for “more buttons”, and the Rival 500 MMO/MOBA more than delivers here. It’s a pretty good mouse for such users, and it comes with all the bells and whistles, at a reasonable price.
On the outside, you get a right handed shape that’s pretty comfortable and has 15 customizable buttons. The button layout is built around your thumb, so you can reach any button easily and without much problems. The left and right buttons are reinforced, so they should last you a good while.
Inside, there’s a custom PixArt sensor that goes up to 16,000 CPI and tracks really well. Also inside is the vibration motor that gives you tactile alerts for in-game events, and it’s customizable. It’s an interesting experience but not everyone will love it.
Last but not least, at 129 grams, this is far from lightweight. But if buttons are a priority, and you don’t mind a bit of extra weight, the Rival 500 is really an excellent pick.

It comes with a comfortable right handed shape with rubber side grips, making it excellent for extended gaming sessions. You can use it with just about any type of grip, and it fits pretty good. The scroll wheel is also one of the most comfortable ones you’ll find.
Inside is a TrueMove3 sensor built with PixArt, that has 1 to 1 tracking and up to 12,000 CPI. It’s really great, and it really performs admirably in just about any scenario. There’s also an OLED display at the side which will give you information such as sensitivity, Discord notifications, and even personalized GIFs.
The weight isn’t particularly impressive at 135 grams, but large handed users shouldn’t have too much of a problem with that. You will also find two side buttons on the left, as well as a DPI adjust button at the top, and you can enable tactile alerts, too.

Performance with it is a non-issue, and we’ve found it to be really accurate in various scenarios. Pair this with a reasonable weight of 92 grams, and you’re looking at a great mouse all-around.
